Yoko Obata

Yoko is a Registered Clinical Arts Therapist (ANZACATA) and holds MA In Arts Therapy (Clinical) from Whitecliffe College of Art and Design. She has studied Psychology at San Jose State University in California and has worked as a substance abuse counsellor in a holistic drug and alcohol treatment program in the U.S.

As an Arts Therapist she uses inter-model approach combining Art Therapy, Dance Movement Therapy and Somatic Psychology to work with the holistic needs of each client. She has been providing sessions to children, teens and adults in various settings in Auckland for the past 4 years. Her areas of speciality includes PTSD, addiction, post-natal, depression, anxiety, ASD and related disorders.

Yoko speaks fluent English and Japanese.
