osteopathy

Osteopathy is a unique approach to healthcare that focuses on the musculoskeletal structure and treats the body as a single unit with a great capacity to heal itself. An osteopath helps the body to function freely, allowing the natural self-healing properties to work effectively. Using a range of techniques, osteopathy restores the natural balance of the musculoskeletal system.

How does it work?

Through gentle re-alignment of your musculoskeletal structure, osteopathic treatment allows your whole body to function freely. The result: a significant improvement in your overall wellbeing.

At Parnell Natural Health, we take a holistic approach when diagnosing our patients, ensuring the treatment is tailored to your individual needs.

All osteopaths at Parnell Natural Health are ACC treatment providers and registered with the Osteopathic Council of New Zealand.

Biodynamic and Cranial Osteopathy

This branch of Osteopathy takes a gentle, non-invasive approach to treating patients.  Similar to the structural form of Osteopathy, biodynamic and cranial osteopathy aims to balance the patient’s central nervous system using techniques generally applied to the cranium, spinal cord and pelvis allowing for improved function enabling self-healing processes within the body.

Although a very gentle therapy, the benefits are far reaching and can address numerous complaints experienced by patients including but not limited to headaches, sinus problems, TMJ dysfunctions and back pain.
